March 31st: Leo & Er’s Trash the Dress Session at Hawaii

Last year, I was lucky to be the wedding photographer for Leo & Er to cover their touching ceremony at city hall of San Francisco. One month ago, Leo contacted me through email to try to fly me to Hawaii to photograph an underwater trash the dress session for them to celebrate their anniversary. Yes, underwater. The theme made me excited and I talked to Julia about Leo’s proposal. Julia was excited too and we were happy to accept Leo’s proposal and started planning the Hawaii trip. Leo and Er flied there 3 days ahead of us to test different sites and we meet up together. We have a wedding on Saturday so we get there on Sunday. Leo & Er came to our hotel to meet us up. And all of us were excited and can’t wait to shoot some shots in hotel by the swimming pool of the beautiful Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel:

The second day, we are heading to Captain Hook for the trash the dress session. Both Leo & Er are sports lover and snorkering is one of their favorites. They have already done snorkering 3 times in this trip before we met them up and they found this amazing snorkering site. Trust me, that’s the best in big island. Because you cannot access it by driving, you have to Kayak to the site or by boat. That day is such a windy day and it took us more than one hour to kayak to the site. Julia and I were so exhausted and far behind these 2 sports lover. But when we reach the site, we realize that it definitely worth the efforts:

Now, we are really going into the water:

It’s my first time to try out the real under water photography in the beautiful Hawaii big island. I love these photos and thanks Leo & Er for the invitation. We had a great time and Julia & I went to Captain Hook again in the following day, and we spent a whole day there snorkering. We love it so much now.
